Sterling Silver Tea Set 1880 London EDWARD BROWN Tea Pot Sugar Bowl & Milk Jug
A wonderful Victorian Sterling silver three piece tea set consisting of a tea pot, sugar bowl and cream jug. It has a very unusual and eye catching design and a lovely deep shine, it has been made from a good gauge of silver which gives it a good feel in the hand. The hinge on the the tea pot is superb and shows the quality of the tea set. All 3 pieces are fully hallmarked sterling silver London 1880/81. Makers mark of Edward Brown to all pieces. It is in an excellent condition being free from any repairs or damage. The fruit wood handle and finial are in good order, some movement to the handle but it is secure.
Signs of use to the inside of the tea pot. The tea pot hinge is in excellent working order. Some light surface wear as expected for its age and use. 24cm width including handle and spout. 13cm by 11cm excluding handle and spout. 16.2cm width including handles.
11cm height to the tip of the handle. 11cm width including handle and spout. 813 combined weight of all 3 pieces. A very unique, usable and rare Victorian Silver Tea Set that will look wonderful in use or on display.
