The service comprises: a coffee pot, teapot, creamer, and covered sugar pot. 950 fine silver, with neoclassical cast sheep's tongue bases, and cast vine and guilloche rims. The spouts are cast and hand chased "dolphin" heads.
The handles are carved of a precious natural material, which terminate at their bases into a cast classical mascaron. The sugar pot has a pair of mascaron handles with rings through the mouths. The tea, coffeee, and sugar pots have completely removable. This sumptuous service exudes luxury and quality, and is presented on a richly gilded tray (gold plate, not sterling).
Hallmarks on all four vermeil pieces' CC' with spectacles and'950' denoting silver fineness as depicted in photos, 3rd from last. The marks are stamped on the undersides of each, plus the rims of the 3 lids. Condition: excellent "Estate found" condition. Gilding intact, both exterior and interior, throughout.All pieces have clean interiors and secure handles. A minuscule ding here and there, and handle material has some veining/crazing as one would expect from a used set over 100 years old.
