ARTHUR STONE STERLING TEA SET c1930 EX HENRY FORD We are quite pleased to offer this completely hand crafted Arthur Stone sterling silver tea service. Owned by Henry Ford II. Stone born 1847 in and trained in England. Came to America 1884, wth William Durgin as silversmith & designer. Opened his own shop 1901 Gardner, Massachusetts.One of the last independent designers and master silversmiths in new England to train and employ other Masters & apprentices. Set never monogrammed, despite being owned by the Fords. This Henry Ford II hand wrought teapot 10 1/2 inches. Handle to spout 6 1/2 tall set weighs 64 1/2 inches.
Hallmarked as shown including the Hammer & Stone mark. As well as several pieces from Benjamin Harrison, who worked with. In very, very fine condition. Interiors clean as if little used.
