This is a nice quality and lovely looking 3 piece solid sterling silver English batchelor tea service consisting of a tea pot, milk or cream jug and sugar bowl. The 3 pieces are all hallmarked with the London assay office with the date letter for 1907 and the makers mark CE, for what I believe is Charles Edwards, as seen from the images. The overall condition is very good, with very small dings on the main body of the tea pot, as shown and very small dings on the jug and bowl. The lid hinge is firm and sits tightly in the body.
The handle has a small amount of play as expected for a piece of this age. Do remember this is an antique set so do not expect a new item. While it is a used item the set looks good and displays very well. The teapot measures 20 cms from spout to handle, is 12 cms wide and sits at a height of 12.5 cms to the top of the lid finial. The bowl is 12 cms form handle to handle, 8.5 cms wide and 9 cms in height (to the handle).
The jug is 9 cms from spout to handle, 6 cms wide and 8 cms in height (to the handle). The total gross weights (including handles) is approximately 480g. If you have any questions please ask as it is important you are 100% satisfied before purchasing.
