Offered is an exquisite and luxurious genuine Art Deco period sterling silver 4 piece tea & coffee set, made in England by Henry Wigfull of Sheffield, circa 1936. Hallmarked clearly on the shoulders, each piece bears the crown mark for city of Sheffield, lion passant mark for Sterling silver, date letter for 1936, and makers mark HW for Henry Wigfull. Crafted in the sleek modernist Art Deco style of heavy weight silver with simple tapering flat paneled bodies, and subtle fluting on the corner seams. The tea & coffee pots feature their original luxurious natural material ivory handles and finish details.
Condition: All 4 pieces have immaculately clean interiors and normal surface scratches/ patina/ tarnish commensurate with age and use. Handles and finial details have a few cracks as one would expect from this natural material with age & use. The only visible issue is a single tiny ping on the body of the sugar pot, which also has a very very slight lean to it. All other pieces free of dents & dings.
