3 Pieces Sterling Silver Bachelor Teaset
A very unusual three piece bachelor teaset. Its such a small size that teapot is easy to sit on a palm. The set all three pieces were made in London by Thomas Smily in 1866. Typical Victorian style decoration with embossed roses on a planished background, to reflect the brightness on a dark background. Scrolls with holly leaves in the centre.
Beautifully casted finial is original and marked with T. S, the same maker as the teapot itself. Teapot length is about 18 cm (spout to handle), weight approximately 269 grams.
Milk jug is approximately 80 grams, and the sugar bowl is approximately 145 grams. Combined teaset weight is approximately 494 grams. Very good condition, a rare bachelor sized antique teaset.
